Today we’re going to talk about the connection between the constant force/tape spring and the tilting double or single hung window.

As we know, hung windows feature a balanced application to counteract the weight of the sash, allowing the user to position the sash at the desired opening height. The balanced application also enables users to open and close windows with minimal effort.

Actually, the constant force/tape spring is a somewhat hidden component sitting inside the window frame of the tilting double or single hung window, it is the balanced application, sometimes called a sash balance, window spring, or window “balancer”.

Window balances are only found in double-hung or single windows and counterbalance the weight of the sash assisting you with opening and closing your windows. If your window balances are damaged or broken, your window may be difficult to open, not open at all, or may not stay open.

Qianye Springs (Qianye Precision Spring Technology Co., Ltd) provide the high-quality constant force/tape springs. All our springs are made of 301 stainless steel which ensure the springs are durable and long-lasting.

Understanding the Functionality of Constant Force Springs

Time:2023-5-2

Constant force springs, also called constant tension springs, are mechanical devices that provide a constant, linear force throughout their range of motion. They are used in a variety of applications where a consistent force is needed, such as in retractable cords, counterbalances, and spring-loaded assemblies. The basic design of a constant force spring consists of a flat strip of spring...

High quality Constant Force Torsion Springs: Unlocking the Power of Continuous Torque

Time:2023-7-19

Introduction: Torsion springs have been widely used in various mechanical systems to provide rotational force or torque. These springs store mechanical energy when twisted and release it when untwisted. In recent years, constant force torsion springs have gained prominence due to their ability to generate continuous torque with consistent force throughout the entire rotation. This article explores the working principle,...

Application of power spring in aircraft luggage compartment

Čas: 2022-9-14

Luggage compartments in the aircraft cabin are usually located above the heads of seated passengers. To ensure optimum headroom between luggage compartments on the one hand, and to facilitate loading on the other hand, aircraft luggage racks can be lowered from shell luggage compartments or trays in certain applications. When lowered, the front of the luggage compartment opens for loading....
