Fireplaces are freestanding or wall-mounted indoor heating devices, powered by combustible materials, with internal chimneys, originating from Western homes or palace heating facilities. Because its fuel is a renewable resource, modernized and improved, it is still commonly used in the West, and is especially popular among the higher education class, which advocates environmental protection. Fireplaces can also be installed in ordinary homes, and are perfectly achievable for small flats. The fireplace in modern homes is certainly not the firewood burning in the living room of a large villa that we see in the movies and TV, burning a fire and emitting the sound of a “blazing” star.
In colder climates, the fireplace has always been the main feature of a home, as it gives people warmth to survive the long winter hands. The feeling of warmth from the baking, and the jumping and flickering flames, even today, still make people feel happy in cold weather. The warmth of a fireplace is incomparable to that of an air conditioner, and I’m not talking about the psychological effect, which is in fact the case. Compared to air conditioners, fireplaces heat up quickly and the warmth of a real fire is comforting and relaxing.
The variable force springs used in the fireplace up-down sliding doors because when the door is closed, the spring force is less than the weight of door; while the door in middle stroke, the spring force is equal to the door weight. When fully open, the spring exerts force greater than the door weight to secure the door does not slide down.
