Luggage compartments in the aircraft cabin are usually located above the heads of seated passengers. To ensure optimum headroom between luggage compartments on the one hand, and to facilitate loading on the other hand, aircraft luggage racks can be lowered from shell luggage compartments or trays in certain applications. When lowered, the front of the luggage compartment opens for loading.
A luggage compartment with a lowered housing for an aircraft, wherein the lowered housing is connected to a pulley attached to a support structure of the aircraft by a cable. In order to lower the shell, when the rope lifts the shell on the pulley, the rope is released from the pulley, in which the pulley is biased by the force of the パワースプリング along the rotation direction of the rope wound on the pulley. The power assistance for the pivoting of the luggage cover is realized as a spring device. This solution can achieve low maintenance and wear-free equipment in every case.
The natural tendency to expand of the パワースプリング imparts a moment to the arbor or case, resulting in usable torque. The torque produced is cumulative, so the torque increases as the spring is tightened and decreases as the spring is loosened. Power springs that can be assembled into the customer’s housing for immediate assembly, or a retaining ring is provided for transferring the spring into the customer’s housing. Power spring torque and total turns are the most important output requirements in パワースプリング design. The performance of a パワースプリング depends on the size of the spring material (thickness, width and length) and available space (housing and mandrel diameter).
