Theft of small items in retail stores is a problem that occurs. An easy safe method of theft prevention is to introduce a time delay between the dispensing of multiple products. If there is a considerable delay between the dispensing of individual products, then thieves are less likely to steal the products.
A shelf delay propeller equipped with variable force springs can achieve this goal. The propulsion system includes a pusher, a track and a stop mechanism. The push system includes a resistance mechanism connected to the track and the pusher, and controls the forward movement of the pusher along the track, thereby controlling the speed when the product is pushed by the consumer. When engaged, the stop mechanism prevents the pusher from advancing the product forward, and the indexing mechanism also limits forward travel of the pusher to a discrete distance.
The variable force spring can expand the negative gradient and the positive gradient simultaneously. It breaks through the influence of traditional Hooke’s law, so that the stroke and force no longer increase proportionally, but are accompanied by various elastic force displacement combinations, such as negative slope. Therefore, a stepwise constant force can be achieved. The variable force spring can be customized for various elastic force curve changes.
